Our vision for Reading and Phonics at William Lilley:
At William Lilley we are determined for all children to be readers. We support every child to
rapidly learn the phonics skills that they need to read successfully
gain a thorough understanding of what they read
develop a wide vocabulary
All staff share and actively promote a love of reading with the children, sharing quality texts for learning and enjoyment, in appropriate ‘reading friendly’ environments.
