Early Years Foundation Stage

Our vision for the Early Years Foundation Stage at William Lilley:

At William Lilley Foundation stage play, communication and promoting a love of learning is at the heart of all that we do.  Our happy children are nurtured and encouraged to build strong relationships within the school family.  Children are motivated through fun first-hand experiences which support them to develop their understanding of the wider world, take risks and extend their learning.  Our children are encouraged to be healthy, active learners who are confident, independent individuals.  Our inspirational environment enables us to work together, celebrate each other and achieve success.

Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum:

Childen within our Early Years Foundation Stage learn through play, as our highly experienced teachers and teaching assistants engage pupils in learning through the use of the indoor and outdoor environment.

Staff have a clear understanding of every child's strengths and next steps and use these to tailor their interactions and feedback to support progress in learning.  Pupils use the continuous provision to develop their skills and enhancements are explicitly taught within sessions.  Please follow the link below for further details on which elements of the curriculum are taught through the continous and enhanced provision:
