Midday Supervisor 

Required from September 2024, the children, staff and Governors of William Lilley Infant & Nursery School are seeking to appoint a Midday Supervisory Assistant to join our popular school.  This is an exciting opportunity to work in partnership with the Midday team, supporting children from 3 to 7 during their lunchtime and play.  The successful candidate will work across the team, but have a key role in supporting children’s play and physical activity during the lunchtime period.  This is a fixed term post for one year, although there may be the possibility of the role becoming permanent in the future. 

We are looking for a candidate who can

• support the nursery children during their lunchtime period
• encourage physical activity for all children
• children’s play and social development
• form excellent relationship with children of all ages
• communicate effectively with pupils in a calm and effective manner
• monitor and support positive behaviour amongst children
• manage minor first aid issues
• work as part of a team
• play an integral part in organising the playground during the lunchtime period
• understand individual children’s needs and support in ensuring they are happy and safe
• is committed to the safeguarding and well-being of children
